Nokia Bluetooth Bus Shelters and Nokia NYC Events

According to Nokia, there are bluetooth enabled bus shelters around New York City where you can download free music every week, or a weekly listing of summer events around town. There’s actually one around where I work that I’ve seen several times, not knowing it sent bluetooth messages. Last night, I walked by and received an image showing a schedule of events.

The bluetooth transferred image is on the left. It looks like the next event is going to be on July 12th at Lincoln Center where the top 50 chefs in NYC show off their best dishes. I am definitely going to be there to check it out. I missed out on the Lunch at the Park last week because of work, but you can check out some of their pictures up on Flickr. They’ll have another lunch on the 19th.

The Nokia Nseries team is also taking pictures of people in Times Square with the Nokia N95 and have it displayed on the Nokia Theater Marquee. Pretty cool! If I see them at Times Square, I’ll be advertising my blog on the picture!

Since the ads show the Nokia N95 and the Nokia N800, I know they’ll be showing these devices off at the events. I wonder if they have other Nseries phones there as well. I really want to show the Nokia N76 to my girlfriend so she can compare it to her old Motorola Razr.

Mr. Brown from the WTF Show previews the Nokia N76 and Nokia N93i at CES. He notices the brilliance of the display on the N93i and likes the flat keypad differently designed from the Nokia N93. Couldn’t make it to CES this year? Don’t worry, Stefan Constantinescu is one Nokia fanboy attending equipped with a Nokia N93 capturing pictures and videos at the 4-day event concentrating on what Nokia has to show. For the first day, check out his videos of a quick walkthrough of Nokia’s booth, and previews of the newly announced Nseries devices, the Nokia N76 and Nokia N800.

Stefan criticizes that the Nokia N800 did not improve its handwriting recognition over the Nokia 770. It also looks like they had trouble opening up the web browser. Since this product is fairly new, more in-depth reviews should be popping up soon. The Nokia N800 can be purchased at NokiaUSA for US $399.99.

The Nokia N76, N93i, and N800 are now officially added to the NSeries. Lots of shiny new pictures, and it also has video ads for each of the new products. If you cannot see the three new products, try changing your location to Europe.
