We were afraid that the Nokia N9 wouldn’t officially hit the US, but we were wrong. Amazon USA now actually has them in stock at their warehouse. If you’re a Prime member, you can even get it the next day for $3.99 shipping. Price for the Nokia N9 is currently $649.99, which is a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than a couple of weeks ago. If you’re patient, I’m sure it’ll go down a little more.

A software update for the Nokia N9 will have some changes to the default font according to the Nokia Developer page. The typeface itself won’t change, but it will take up 20% more space vertically. They’ve provided a before and after image for a visual explanation.

We found a white Nokia N9 at one of the booths in Nokia World. It’s glossy and not the matte-like material that we’ve previously seen (Cyan, Magenta, Black). It looks great. Take a look.

Here’s a demo of Foursquare for the Nokia N9. It’s pretty good! The main screen shows a navigation drop down, specials nearby, map, search, and list of places to check in. I like that this app gives you the options to broadcast to Twitter and/or Facebook. Video after the jump.

I’m currently gathering my thoughts for the upcoming review of the Nokia N9, but I wanted to show you a cool app right away. It’s called ScreenshotMee. It lets you take screenshots on the Nokia N9 by just putting your hand over the phone. It’s free at the Ovi Store (yea.. it’s still called Ovi).
