Nokia Giving Away Free Devices at Mobile Monday NY March 26th
Nokia has partnered with Mobile Monday NY this month to introduce developers to Windows Phone. Nokia will share their plans for the US market and focus on apps and developers. As an added bonus, Nokia will be giving away free devices to developers. No word on which model it could be.
Nokia is Attending Engadget’s Reader Meetup Oct 21st in NYC
If you’re around the New York City area on October 21st, you might want to check out Engadget’s reader meetup. A bunch of tech companies, including Nokia, are going to be there to show their latest toys. The meetup takes place in NYC at Espace from 6:30PM until 10:30PM. See you there!
Nokia To Close NY and Chicago Flagship Stores Early 2010
A Nokia spokesperson just told us that the NY and Chicago flagship stores are closing in early 2010. The official decision was made to “create clear alignment with our local market strategy and in addition, as part of a global realignment of Nokia’s retail strategy.” The Flagship stores opened their doors in 2006. Nokia/S60 Users Meetup at NY Flagship Store September 18th
Nokia fans in the NYC vicinity on September 18th should check out the Nokia NY flagship store at 6:30PM. Bring whatever shiny new mobile phone you have been playing with and show it off at the meetup. I was told the Nokia N900 will make an appearance!
