If you just upload your photos to Facebook, more camera megapixels don’t necessarily mean better. The photos displayed in your Facebook Timeline are resized to 404 x 404 pixels. If you make it a highlighted photo, it becomes 843 x 403 pixels. As a reminder, a 3 megapixel photo is about 2048 x 1536 pixels dimension. That’s even more resolution than the latest 13-inch Macbook Air screen which displays 1440 x 900 pixels.
Love it when a site from our Photography RSS folder mentions Nokia. This time, we have EOSHD reviewing the Nokia 808 Pureview. If you don’t want to read the whole thing, the conclusion says the sensor and lens technology on the 808 is a genuinely groundbreaking achievement for a smartphone.
I got to play with a Nokia 808 Pureview at a Nokia store in Kuala Lumpur. I like shooting videos, so I checked out the zooming capabilities of the camera while recording. Video after the jump.
We already know the Nokia 808 PureView takes amazing photos and videos, but it records audio pretty well too. Nokia told us back in March about its Rich Recording technology, but I did not give it much thought. It’s not until I saw recent videos from ACTUAL Nokia 808 PureView users that I realized Nokia was not kidding. The audio recording on the Nokia 808 PureView sounds amazing too.

The Nokia 808 PureView arrives in Malaysia today for 1899 MYR ($600 USD). The Symbian device features a new imaging technology from Nokia and Carl Zeiss with a 41 megapixel camera sensor. Cameraphone fanatics have been waiting for this device.
Good news for Symbian fans… if you’re still there! The Nokia 808 PureView started shipping. Russia and India are among the first to receive this new smartphone with killer camera. As a reminder, the Nokia 808 PureView features a 41-megapixel sensor with high-performance Car Zeiss optics.
