Nokia DC-11 Review – Extra Power Charger

post thumbnail

Power users can drain their devices of battery life within a couple of hours if they wanted to. One solution from Nokia that can help extend the battery life of your devices is the Nokia DC-11 Extra Power charger. Not only does it provide up to one charge, but its slim design and rugged build quality make it really easy to carry in your other pocket or just throw in the bag.

Google Nexus One Review from a Nokia Lover

post thumbnail

I can’t give you proper reviews of Nokia devices if I don’t try other phones from other manufacturers for comparison. I’ve been using the Google Nexus One in the past 30 days and have been really enjoying it. I’ll share my review of the Nexus One with lots of comparisons to Nokia’s current superphone, the Nokia N900.

App Review: TuneWiki for Nokia N900

post thumbnail

TuneWiki has been available for download on the Nokia N900 at launch, but I haven’t really given it any attention until now. It’s kind of pretty cool. TuneWiki allows you to watch subtitled lyrics while listening to music.

Nokia Messaging for Social Networks Beta2 App Review

post thumbnail

I’ve been using the second beta to Nokia Messaging for Social Networks the weekend before today’s official announcement. If you need a reminder, the first beta was released at Nokia World, supporting only Facebook. The new version adds new options for Facebook and adds support for Twitter. Read on for some of my feedback.

Nokia Booklet 3G Review

post thumbnail

The Booklet 3G is Nokia’s first netbook, but they’re trying not to label it as such. It’s supposed to be a mini laptop for all-day mobility allowing up to 12 hours on a single charge. It looks great, too. The Nokia Booklet 3G’s chassis is made from a single piece of machined aluminum, similar to Apple’s Macbooks. How do I like it? Read on for the review.

Nokia N97 Mini Review

post thumbnail

It’s hard to like the S60v5 again after using a Maemo device like the Nokia N900. I’ve been trying to use the Nokia N97 mini to write a thorough review, but I always ended up putting it down quickly. Want to know what I think in one sentence? The Nokia N97 mini looks damn good and packs a lot of features, but I would recommend other devices before this one.

Nokia N900 Review

post thumbnail

The Nokia N900 was just announced that it started shipping on Tuesday. I’ve been using a pre-production version for a month now and just updated to the production firmware (1.2009.42-11). I’ll edit this review when I get my hands on a production hardware model and notice any difference. Want to know what I think in one sentence? I like the Nokia N900, but Nokia still has a lot of work to do.

App Review: Vlingo on Nokia n97

post thumbnail

Vlingo came pre-installed on the Nokia N97′s firmware 2.0 and I’m surprised at how well it works. You can use ordinary language to instantly send a text or an email message, call a friend, create a note, update your Facebook or search the web simply by saying what you want. I’ve included a video of while trying it out.

Nokia N900 Review of Email

post thumbnail

Email is a very important feature for me and it works pretty well on the Nokia N900… for the most part. I’ll show you how it looks on the pre-production Nokia N900 from setup, to reading the inbox, replying, and creating emails. In this post, I use my Nokia Messaging account to push my emails from Gmail.

Nokia N97 Review of Hardware

post thumbnail

It’s been a week since I started playing with the Nokia N97 and now it’s time for my review of the hardware. I’ve been waiting for this phone for a while and I’m excited it’s finally here. I have reviewed a Nokia N97 prototype before, and the final retail version hardware isn’t that different. I’ll let you know what I think of the physical aspects and continue with my usual posts of usage experience and thoughts.
