There’s no doubt that Nokia is eventually going to release a Windows 8 tablet. The latest rumor pins it for a Q4 2012 release. DigiTimes reports a 10-inch tablet with a dual-core processor. The Verge says the processor will most likely be the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4, which we previewed during CES.
A high-end Nokia phone that will be announced at Mobile World Congress is going to have “an unusual software feature normally found only on high-end smartphones,” says Forbes. We’ll assume that it’s a Windows Phone device that’s going to be called the Nokia Lumia 910, but what is this “unusual feature” that they’re talking about? I am very skeptic about this rumor, but I think it’s worth sharing and discussing. It looks a lot like the Nokia Lumia 900 and 800 with the unibody polycarbonate material. Specs after the jump.
Digitimes reported on Wednesday that notebook vendors are facing delays on their Android 3.0 tablet PCs because Google is currently prioritizing Android 3.0 support to smartphone manufacturers. Five players were mentioned, including Nokia. The rumor is hard to believe since Nokia has been saying they’re committed to the Meego and Symbian platforms. Digitimes‘ sources said [...]
Negri Electronics just landed on a fresh Nokia prototype. They’re calling it the Nokia N9, but I’m guessing it’ll be called an N8 variation (maybe Nokia N8-01) because of its strong resemblance to the Nokia N8. Three photos were provided, but they promise to share the rest of the story soon. I can’t guess the [...]
Continue reading Nokia N9 or N8-01 Leaked.
A research senior analyst at Digitimes reported that Nokia is currently preparing to launch a tablet with the Meego OS. The analyst believes that it will be released during the fourth quarter of 2010. He added that 100 engineering samples were already completed for testing. Can the Meego tablet compete with Steve “Moses” Jobs’ iPad?
Engadget learned from a trusted source that the leaked device supposedly called the Nokia N8 will be announced in the middle of next month. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will be available at the same time of the announcement. The authoritative word is September. This makes me wonder how Google pulled off announcing the [...]
Continue reading Engadget: Nokia N8 to be Announced mid-April at The Nokia Blog
