Nokia is sponsoring Social Media Week for the third time. Other than seeing Nokia’s logos all over the place, there will be a few activities during the week where attendees will notice Nokia’s presence.
The Social Media Week reception party in New York City was hosted by Nokia earlier today. The party was great, but there was something very cool going on behind the scenes. If you checked in to the venue via Foursquare and paid attention to a big billboard on the wall, there was a message to find a golfer at the party. The golfer then revealed a secret entrance to a hidden room. Take a look at what happened inside as recorded from my Nokia Lumia 800.
We learned more about Nokia’s activities during Social Media Week at a press conference here in New York City. As you probably know, Nokia is the headline sponsor of Social Media Week. It is a bi-annual network of conferences about social media starting February 7th. The press conference on Thursday revealed the #NokiaConnects application that Nokia launched for Social Media Week. The web app is now live.
Social Media Week (February 7-11) is coming to a city near you and Nokia is the headline sponsor. Social Media Week brings hundreds of thousands of people together every year through learning experiences that aim to advance our understanding of social media’s role in society. There will be plenty of events to attend, nearly all of which are free.
