This past weekend, my hiking class went up Mt. Beacon and I had my Nokia N95 8GB with Sports Tracker to track the hike. We were scheduled to go up on Breakneck Ridge but the instructor told us the the trails might be slippery that day. I absolutely hated this Mt. Beacon because the flies rained on us all the way to the top. Check out the embedded map and the data provided by Sports Tracker.
I used the Nokia N95 NAM to take pictures at Puerto Vallarta, one of the ports visited during the cruise last week. All the photos were geotagged thanks to Shozu. I also embedded a map in this post to show the route from the beach back to the ship using Sports Tracker. My girlfriend spent half of the day shopping for jewelry, so we did not really see much of the city.
I combined data from Sports Tracker and the geotagged photos uploaded on the Cabo Flickr set to embed a map in a blog post. This is pretty cool to use for bloggers who take pictures with GPS-enabled phones like the Nokia N82 and Nokia N95. Pictures show up as dots on the map and goes to its Flickr page when clicked.
I used the Nokia N95 NAM with Sports Tracker to track GPS location while on a small boat tour in Cabo San Lucas. Surprisingly the pictures taken were also collected by the Nokia Sports Tracker. I don’t have much time to blog more about it but I’m really amazed with this app. Check out the ‘workout’ at Cabo.
I’m testing the Nokia Sports Tracker on the Nokia N95-3 during my vacation where I’ll be visiting Canada, West Coast USA, then Mexico. For my first stop in Edmonton, I turned the application on from the car ride starting near the airport. Sports Tracker recorded data like speed, and location. I’ll post up a How-To later on to explain how I did it, but I basically exported the data from Sports Tracker to Google Maps so I can embed the map in this blog post.
