I was very fortunate to take the Nokia Lumia 800 out for a spin during the first day of Nokia World. Of course whenever there’s a new device, an unboxing has to be done. This should give you a clear idea of how the sales packaging is going to look in stores.

A big package arrived this morning and you can see the unboxing right here. Inside was an invitation to the 3rd annual Shorty Awards, honoring the best people and organizations on Twitter and social media across dozens of official categories, as well as thousands of crowd-sourced categories. There were a couple of other things inside the box, but you have to watch the video to find out.

The Nokia N8 started shipping and we were lucky to get our hands-on the final sales package right away. Check out the unboxing and a couple of first impressions after initial usage. We received the orange one which actually looks pretty good! Watch the video after the jump.

Today was certainly interesting. I received an email from WOMWorld Nokia to head over to Times Square for the mysterious #NokiaBox. I met up with Erick from Nokia Innovation in front of the Nokia Theatre at 1PM. Immediately, a guy wearing headphones and carrying a boom mic approached us and put wireless lav mics on our shirts. Across the street was a huge Nokia box. Erick and I realized they were going to film us do an unboxing in the middle of Times Square!
