How to Force Update on the Nokia Lumia 800
The Nokia Lumia 800 update OS version 7.10.8107 became available for download today in some regions. If your device doesn’t automatically notify you, there’s a way to force the update. I’m not able to confirm this trick, but a few have reported that it works with a few attempts.
Nokia Lumia 800 Update Goes Live
Check your Nokia Lumia 800 now for any software updates. Nokia just started rolling it out today. The Nokia Conversations blog has a list of the changes and enhancements. I don’t see the update on my device yet, but it will be rolled out over the next two weeks.
T-Mobile Nokia Astound Finally Gets Symbian Anna Update
Firmware version 24 became available for the T-Mobile Nokia Astound on Tuesday. The device finally got the Symbian Anna update. The Astound is the US variant for the Nokia C7. The update is only 11MB and you can download it through the phone. The previous firmware was version 20.

BETA: Ovi Store Update for Nokia N8
An interesting item showed up in software update for my Nokia N8. It says BETA: Ovi Store update. The description says it is “optional and needed only if Store stopped working after update from PS1 to Belle SW.” It’s weird because my Nokia N8 doesn’t have the Belle update yet. It’s running Anna. Symbian Anna Now Live in More Countries, USA Still Missing
Nokia told us the Symbian Anna update was going to roll out for three weeks after its announcement. Today, the update went live in France, Spain, Latin America, Ireland, Hong Kong, Romania, and Ukraine. Unfortunately, US-based Nokia users like me still have to wait.
Symbian Belle Video Walkthrough

Short Film with Nokia N8 Camera Update, 30 FPS and Autofocus
The best camera phone just got better. Nokia Beta Labs released an update for the Nokia N8 that unlocks 30 fps recording with continuous autofocus. Previously, the Nokia N8 records 25 fps with full-focus. I was excited with this update because it now lets me record videos of objects that are close to the camera. I made a short sample video. Nokia Hints Symbian Update Supporting Different Widget Sizes
Widgets currently come in one size on Symbian^3 devices, but images from Nokia Germany hint we could be seeing some changes. On a promotional site, we see widgets on the homescreen that are 6×1, 3×2, and shortcuts that are 1×1. Is this coming out with the Symbian Anna update? Symbian Belle?
