Nokia Introduces Voice Texting for Upcoming Windows Phone Devices

Chris Weber, president of Nokia USA, demonstrated a voice recognition technology to a crowd at the Center for Automotive Research’s Management Briefing Seminars earlier today. It will be introduced in their upcoming Windows Phone devices, allowing users to receive and send text messages verbally. It’s not clear whether he used an actual Nokia Windows Phone device for demonstration.

This is too good to be a “leak.” The first video of a Nokia Windows phone just showed up . It has CEO Stephen Elop in it asking the audience to turn off their cameras and recording devices. The video comes from Technet which also had multiple cameras and direct feed access to the overhead display. Honestly, it looked produced by Nokia themselves. Take a look.
