Nokia N73 is Used By One of the Heroes on NBC

The time bender, Hiro Nakamura, from NBC’s prime time show Heroes, uses the Nokia N73 phone to try save New York City from a nuclear explosion. It is also one of my favorite shows right now. Thanks Qwest905 for posting this on HOFO.
I wonder if the Nokia marketing team is behind this, or if it’s just the actor’s own phone. Nevertheless, you can watch the show on Mondays 9PM Eastern on NBC.

Way too geeky, I know, but I noticed this on the first episode it appeared in…a complete ‘Hey, that’s my phone!’ moment. Living in the US, I have yet to bump into anyone else using an N73 yet, so seeing it on heroes (also my favorite show) was a bit of a kick.

Haha… yeah, it’s my favorite show and seeing the Nokia N73 on it was surprising. Too geeky? Probably not if many other readers here felt the same.

I loved the n73 apart from it only captured at 15 frames per second its my 2nd fav phone

It really does make you wonder with some of these movies though, well this is a series but lets take the matrix as an example for marketing, apparently after the second matrix was out Mercedes seen a 20% increase in sales just from two little scenes.
So I would not be surprised if Nokia was using this as part of there marketing but then again as you pointed out it could very well just have been one of the actors phones.
