How To: Update Firmware, Debranding, and/or Change Language Pack on the Nokia N95

Updating your Nokia N95 to the latest firmware, debranding, and/or changing the language pack is similar to the guide I wrote earlier on updating to Nokia N73 Music Edition. If you are a new Nokia N95 owner, this might be helpful to you, especially those with missing features.

Download and install: Nemesis Service Suite and the latest Nokia Software Update.

  1. Connect your phone and wait for Windows to install the drivers.
  2. Open Nemesis Service Suite and click “Scan for new device” on the right-upper part of the window
  3. Click on the icon “Phone info”
  4. Click on “Scan”
  5. Change the product code to the one you want from the list below.
  6. Mark the case “Enable”.
  7. Press “Write”, and your phone’s product code will be changed (you might think that nothing happened, because the phone is still in normal mode, and the changing of the product code only takes a couple of seconds, but don’t worry, the product code changed !).
  8. Close Nemesis Service Suite and run the Nokia Software Update.
  9. Make sure not to touch the cable or the phone while your phone is updating or else you will break it!
  10. That’s it! When you restart your phone, it should now be upgraded!

I have N96. By mistake I entered wrong product code (turkish language instead of baltic) and upgraded the phone to the next version. When I fix my mistake and entered the correct code the NSU didn't want to upgrade, because baltic version is lower than mine! (First I had 30.033, than turkish updated to 30.101, but the newest baltic version is 30.033). What to do?? To rollback the version? Seems like impossible. To install languages separately? Please help.
    Thanks

Hi friends, I have a problem with my Nokia 6700 classic.

It is a gift of a Lebanese friend of mine and I am trying to change the product code using Nemesys in order to install the Italian language.
Unfortunately it does not work and my phone keeps on talking english or french or arabic...but the T9 in Italian would be very useful!!!
    Can nybody help me?

Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas

    P.S.
Perhaps the problem is due to the cable, type CA 101D

I've tried everything you say but when I go to "Phone Info" and "Scan", it gives me an error and I get no codes. I then tried to upgrade it but nothing happened. What am I doing wrong? Does the phone have to be switched on or off? Do I need to have the SIM and memory card in or out? Please help!

    Hi there!
Thx for your post, it looks really helpful. This is the first time I'll flash a Nokia (I've flashed 3 Sony Ericsson devices before and all went well), so I'd like to ask you if you have the product codes and language packs for the Nokia N78. I've bought it in Italy and I need to install the Greek language pack.
    Thanks for your help!
