Vlog: Nokia Sports Tracker Bike Cradle

I have a video of the Nokia Sports Tracker bike cradle which is a promo product that we’re not sure when or if it will be available in stores. It was sent by Ms. Jen who is an avid Sports Tracker user and scored a few from a Nokia manager.

Note: video below might not be visible in some RSS readers.

The cradle actually consists of 5 things you have to put together. It came with instructions that were easy to follow. The materials look very cheap, but putting them together makes the whole thing pretty secure. You basically strap it on the handlebars so that you can look at your phone while riding your bike.

The size of the strap lets you put any phone there, but it looks like it was made for the Nokia N82. The strap is placed so that the screen does not get covered.

  • New York weather is no excuse for not putting it on your bike!

Actually, the big thanks go to Jussi Kaasinen of the Sports Tracker Team for giving me the cradles to give to other Sports Tracker fans.

@Pablo, can you tell us more about your cradle? Where did you get it?
  • @Leo, is a krusell case plus the bike holder
  • This looks really cool Mark,It's better if it comes with a bike or Paddle powered Charging unit, cos the GPS use for over a continuous period of time would drain you battery pretty fast
  • @Ravindra, good idea! or have another cradle for the solar phone charger I reviewed a while back.
  • sam
I personally wouldn't trust my phone in that.
  • jeffgrado
Looks good, I hope they sell them in the future
  • Inspired on this post I made my own version. Works pretty good, thanks for inspiring me! ;)
  • @Patton, nice! I was afraid watching the video. Is it secure enough?
  • @Mark Guim, sure it is, most of this last workouts were done using the cradle
  • Somewhere I saw a video where Formula 1 car was driven by iPhone. It's quit similar.
