Nokia 5800 Sample Daylight Photos From Brooklyn
It was such a nice day yesterday in New York City, so I went out to the Brooklyn Bridge Park with Sheila and her siblings. I Twitpic’d throughout the day, so if you followed me on Twitter, you may have seen these photos already. Take a look at some sample daylight photos from the Nokia 5800.
Note: head to the blog if the embedded slideshow is not visible in your RSS reader.
These photos were uploaded before I even got home thanks to Pixelpipe. As you can see, the photos aren’t that great, but they’re not horrible neither.
Want to see more photos from the park? Take a look at some taken with my Canon Rebel XSI dSLR using off-camera flash. Sure, it takes better pictures… but it’s bigger, heavier, and doesn’t instantly upload photos online.

I'm very confused about getting the 5800. I currently have the N85 but I dont want to loose camera functionality over music and multimedia. Also the N85 nam has world 3G, so it is very important to me. But seen all this hype and covered media about the 5800xm goodies…
Mark, which one do you prefer?

It really depends on what u need. I am happy with the Nokia 5800 because of the touchscreen. I've also been pretty good using the on-screen QWERTY.
The N85 has a better camera, but the Nokia 5800 takes pictures good enough to show on Twitter or Facebook. If I want to take better pictures, I have a DSLR for that.

II have both also and personally the n85 is just as good media wise if not better music quality to me is the same and navigating is much easier on the n85, plus you still have much superior camera and video recording and to be truthful a nicer screen, not in resolution but in colors, also tons more apps although with the release of the n97 that will change hopefully for 5800 users. The 5800 only has a bigger screen going for it in my opinion if it had smoother navigation and a more sensitive touch ide say go for it.
We are all different though as you see Mark likes his.

I have N85 too (also N95 8GB & N82). I'm using it right now. I love everything in N85 except the cam especially if taken indoor.

The quality of your pictures is amazaing against others taken with 5800 phones. Also min shows very often blurry details like the pictures in the tast on page http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_5800_xpressmusic-... … Perhaps there are different camera modules ariund. I had this issue with my old SE K750i – changed the module, better pics…
As I was looking for a phone with good camera quality, I will change my 5800 for a N97 soon, though I like it…
