any chance that such an update will come to the nokia 5800? with the kinetic scrolling and possibly a homescreen similar to the 5530??

Since N97 and 5800XM use the same Symbian S60 v5 i think the update also applies for 5800. I am not sure tho.

unfortunately, each phone has a different firmware version. so it doesn't apply that way..

I wouldn't think it was be that automatic. 5800 is already on version 30.0.011 so although it would be easy for them to bring the kinetic scrolling to the 5800 also It would require them the time to package the new firmware up and test it again.

Nice to see kinetic scrolling introduced to the nokia n97. I would also like to find out, the much promised skype integration and SIP functionality (that was taken out of the n-series), does that now come with the new firmware?

I can't say that this has really blown me away much. The last firmware upgrade certainly improved the navigation speed of my N97 but I was so hoping for the Skype app. I guess I'll keep using Nimbuzz.

Is anybody noticed about the bug in N97: sometime, when trying to change the profile by using the touchscreen, the profile name is not updated on the screen but updated in the phone and it confuses. Do you know if it the hardware bug or software? or may be both?

i hope this firmware fix the

- photo album problem
- slow gps
- laggy graphic
- fail to start the phone sometimes (have to hard reset) X_X
- Touch Screen no respond

I think this is still in development because you can test it still on the Nokia RDA website

just DL 2.0 went smooth. besides the scrolling have not noticed anything diff. still cant play some sites with flash player

grrrrr. I tried to download it with using PC Suite and on the N97 using update. In both cases it didn't give me an update.
On the Nokiasite it says v2 is available.
Anyone know how to fix this?
