Tmobile USA Speed Tests on Nokia N900 24 hrs After the Outage – Faster?

After unlocking my iPhone and testing if a T-mobile USA SIM card worked on it, a nationwide outage occurred. For a moment, I thought it was my fault. Well, it’s back in service and T-mobile confirmed it was a backend system software error. I ran some speed tests on the Nokia N900 today to see any changes.

It seems both download and upload speeds increased after the outage. Is this conclusive? I’m not sure, but I hope I continue getting these speed rates on the Nokia N900 here in New York.

Oh, and one more thing… speedtest.net is a flash site. Not many phones right now can even see this page on their browsers.

Was this done on the same day of the week at the same time of day? I would think network bandwidth would vary widely with these variables.
  • That is a very smart question.

Different time and day of week have different level of traffic on the network. Testing should be on same time and same day of week for better comparison.
