Meego for In-Vehicle Infotainment 1.0 Released & Shown on Video

Meego, a collaboration between Intel and Nokia, just announced the release of version 1.0 of their In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) platform. This platform will be used by the GENIVI alliance, whose members include BMW, GM, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and more. The Meego IVI 1.0 release is not ready for end users yet, but thankfully we have someone from Youtube with a walkthrough already.

As you can see in the video, the platform isn’t complete yet. Check out the release notes to see what’s included. The features worth mentioning in this release from the Meego IVI 1.0 announcement are the Fennec browser, Navit navigation, and a bluetooth-enabled dialer.

Thanks vgrade!
