If you have been experiencing problems with Nokia Messaging in the past two weeks, Nokia says they will completely fix it by Friday, August 27th. Some of the issues included not receiving emails and getting notifications that their subscription has ended. They provided some troubleshooting steps to reboot the Nokia Messaging service.
- Device stopped receiving email
- Device stopped alerting customer of new email availability
- Number of available IM communities fell from multiple to Ovi Chat only
- Received notification that subscription or trial had ended
If you are experiencing any of the issues mentioned above, do the following to reboot your messaging service:
Remove all email accounts from your device
Turn your device off and then on again
Re-set up your email accounts
Navigate to Select Account screen or the Ovi Chat sign-in page
Choose the Get Nokia Messaging option in the menu
Select the Communities you wish and login
