Nokia Strategy and Financial Briefing, Feb 11th 10AM GMT

If you’re interested to hear about Nokia’s Strategy and Financial Briefing, there will be a webcast live and on demand at nokia.com/press. It is scheduled for 10AM GMT (5AM EST). CEO Stephen Elop tweeted a couple of weeks ago that Nokia needs to change faster. We’ll hear more about it on the 11th.

Elop Smile

What will Stephen Elop talk about? Is Nokia going Windows? Are board members getting fired?

I learned that related media materials will be distributed on February 11 at approximately 7:30AM GMT (2:30AM EST) so we’ll probably get more hints just hours before the briefing. Are you setting up your alarm clocks?

I wonder, if today’s leak had anything to do with market (shares) manipulation just before this event. hmmm..!! will be clear more tomorrow based on US Nokia shares reaction.

In my opinion, i believe this pathetic emotional writeup (its not a memo) was so as to drive traffic to nokias event. Samsung also has something holding on the same day. Nokia related news has been the most discussed all day.

I think Nokia will adopt Windows Phone7 keep MeeGo because there have been too many Job postings for it to go and Symbian will get pushed even lower down. Plus Nokia have always said MeeGo devices will be something beyond a smartphone so it makes sense

the worst decision can be going toward windows7

My prediction: some kind of deal involving nokia building a couple of top notch wp7 phones for US market (maybe more markets) but not with nokia branding and microsoft allowing qt on wp7. Don’t think we will see symbian or meego get canned

      more likely
