There is No Nokia Event on April 12th

Nokia has clarified that there will be some Symbian announcements on April 12th, but not in the form of a webcast or any other kind of presentation. A lot of websites published about an event when an online flyer was first seen on Mad for Tech, then reported by Engadget. I’m not expecting much, but I’m still looking forward to the announcements.

    as far as firmware is concerned, april 12th would be ahead of the current schedule (and when has nokia ever done that?).

    ‘discover what’s new with symbian smartphones’ sounds just as much about new phones as it does about new stuff for existing ones to me. everyone is assuming the latter, but what of the former?

    personally, i think it’s just an announcement of upcoming symbian products. Announcement on the 12th, regarding the 12 new symbian products expected before 2012…

    i don’t know, maybe that’s a dumb way to look at it: all the 12′s may not be meaningful at all. still, i’d have a hard time taking any firmware release prediction on the 12th seriously.
