Nokia announced during Lotusphere 2011 in Florida that improved and upgraded Lotus solutions will soon be available for the new Symbian powered devices such as the Nokia N8, E7, and C6-01. Lotus solutions have already existed on Nokia phones on previous S60 devices but they’ve been upgraded to run perfectly with a new UI experience.
Nokia VP, Work & Life Solution Marketing Ilari Nurmi told ZDnet UK on Tuesday that MeeGo will not be marketed at business users as a replacement OS for Symbian. They will stick with Symbian as its main business-phone platform even when MeeGo is released. “It’s very important to note that Symbian is the primary platform today and will also be the primary platform in the future,” Nurmi said.
