Good news for Symbian fans… if you’re still there! The Nokia 808 PureView started shipping. Russia and India are among the first to receive this new smartphone with killer camera. As a reminder, the Nokia 808 PureView features a 41-megapixel sensor with high-performance Car Zeiss optics.

The Nokia 808 PureView was announced in February. Since then, it has received multiple awards, including Best Mobile Device at Mobile World Congress 2012, as well as an award for Best Imaging Innovation for 2012 from the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA).

The Nokia 808 PureView is very interesting to camera fans because of its new pixel oversampling technology. It has the ability to zoom without loss of clarity and capture seven pixels of information, condensing into one pixel for the sharpest images imaginable. Say goodbye to digital zoom.
